Do you guys play css competitively?

Just wondering if you guys are into that sort of stuff like enemydown and esl etc!

Been playing CSS for way too long and it does show tbh ;)

Also my clan currently is open for trials if anyone is up for it. But! your skill has to be in the range of mid+ - to high+

It would be great to have some OC3D guys to down clan after clan with me ^^

Or we could reboot the OC3D side of the gaming clan? i dunno but it would be fun!

Video from last nights Entry to Open ED final (Ghosthud1 = smoggy)

We used to have an OC3D clan that was hardcore, we had some fabulous players. I played for a few months on the team but I wasn't nearly as good as some of our veteran players. OC3D faired well in matches too, and training was constant!

I just played for the first time in years last night and they have changed a lot, coolest thing is it's Mac compatible now, TIGHT!

I do like the new interface and trophy type deals too, glad to see continued support for an old game.

:D Mid+? Bit out of reach if you're looking on a hardware forum (imo). I don't play CSS, I have done and am pretty good, mixed with Mid/+ players. I am however high @ Wolfenstein: Enemy Territory, but the cup was cancelled so server was switched off due to inactivity (which was given by OC3D).

Shame I only have a Mac so gaming is a nono :(.

Apparently the new CSS update is bad?

The new update being bad is pure bs tbh youngie. just the same with improved netcode etc and abit of community side things added like achieves.

But also im looking to get the OC3D public side of gaming back up and of course the competitive side.

just seems like a big area we could exploit and get popular ;)

I could never get into this game. I just hate having no iron sites. It was alright when I played MOH:AA back in the day but now the only time it's fun is with Left 4 Dead. I dunno, maybe it's just me.

I was one of the CSS clan members. We did compete in ED but can't remember what position we managed to get to (need to ask Ham or Davos). When looking for mixes we classed ourselves as Mid+.

I've recently started playing CSS again, but don't have enough free time to get my full skillz back! Would enjoy the odd mix, but that's probably about it. Did enjoy the good ol' days - had a good bunch of players, but all good things must come to an end :eyes:

You can game on a Mac! I am testament to that. :) Not to mention Steam has a whole list of Mac compatible games now, namely HL2 and CSS both!

As far as the update being bad, I think it kicks ass.... But thats just me. :)

:D, I heard about the update also, it's just my Macbook doesn't like to run games at very high FPS. I've tried Windows aswell, 40fps on lowest settings = bad, too bad to play tbh :(.

Aaah those were the days :) I remember being 30 something at some point on the league table but it was a long time ago. I might try to find my steam login and have a bash soon, see how bad i've become lol

I was also in OC3D :D

Was fun and also OC3D was my first clan on CS:S (previously played quake3/UT/quake2/quake in clans)

Was a really cool introduction to CS:S, I remember Jiffz doing his tactic sheets, davos doing some cool tactics and also llwyd helped me with some cvars in my config.

The only guy I have really seen online since on CS:S is Ham, do any of u guys still play?

I have since been in loads of CS:S clans and played in high clans. (we had vids on youtube also)

I had a break for a while aswell as a lot of peeps in my clan :D came back yesterday to find there is this new patch for CS:S with achievements etc.

Seems to be ok but the reg seems more random than it was before and movement seems to be hindered for some reason (maybe because u can't bunny anymore)

If any of u guys want to get together for some mixes, I'd be up for it.

I'm back playing the odd game, but no way as many hours as I used to.

The new patch - apparently all servers are 66 tick??? Seems to be laggy for me on some servers. Improved textures, sounds and the achievements have improved it though. I don't get why 100 tick was stopped?

They're going to patching the server 66 tick bug thing soon i think and also teh hitboxes and reg has been improved by quiet a bit, thats probably why it feels weird. When the update came it felt like i had to relearn css tbh because of the hitboxes been soo tight now!

And bhopping is easier now due to there been no zblock been supported yet >.<
