Do these support SLI, Crossfire or Both?

Does this motherboard support Crossfire or SLI or both? Only states it has 2 pci-e x16 slots.

and this one has 2 pci-e 2.0 slots but only says Multi GPU Support - Supports ATI Quad GPU CrossfireX. Does this mean that it only supports Crossfire and not SLI

And could you's also show me the best rig possible for round about £1000 from Overclockers, Novatech or ebuyer including 22" monitor, a mouse and keyboard. I could probably go over £1000 if necessary and forget the case and psu theres a bundle on ebuyer.

Dude wrong links only shows homepage of ocuk. Btw any mobo that supports sli also supports crossfire except nforce mobos.

Oops sorry bout the links I'll try and fix it and the first mobo doesn't state so probably both? and the second mobo only says crossfire, doesnt mention sli.

Lol only asking because the ones that state SLI and Crossfire cost a little more, I probably could get them but I'd rather go cheaper.

if this board has 2 pcie x16 slots you can run sli you can use the sli patch to make the board sli i have the asus p5q deluxe which is not sli yet i have 2 gtx 460's in sli google the sli patch 0.9b there is a list of mb the patch can be used on hope this helps

Ohh well that helps a hell of a lot when choosing a board. Dunno why the manufacturer can't just make each mobo with 2 pci-e 2.0 x16 slots sli and crossfire.

Wanna be 100% sure before ordering because I've made mistakes in the past rushing into things.

do you need to run sli? my understanding is if its got 2 pcie x16 slots and it doesnt say its sli then it will do crossfire its nvidia that hold the keys to all boards being sli & crossfire they chose which boards get there chips. i have also rushed in thats how i ended up with the p5q

my advice to you would to do your homework first good luck

Na I wasn't confused. Is the SLI Patch just as good as a mobo that is SLI. Reason I'm asking that is because the mobos that usually do do SLI cost a little more and I wanna reduce my cost a little even though I probably don't have to.

simple answer no. i had problems getting the patch to work at first

ive got it working now though n its seems the same. it unlockes the nvidia control panel options for sli im going to do some benching in sli on that setup this weekend i'll post the results. have you had a look at aria's site for a £1000 setup? http://www.aria.co.uk/

Yes, as long as you use the SLI bridge connector. I am planning on SLI modding my AMD 790 board.

The Coolermaster Scout with a 700w modular psu for £135. A very good deal so its hard to turn down. If no that something like the Xigmatek Utgard (I think that's the biggest) with the coolermaster gx750 psu. (think its called that)

Well here's what I've managed to knock up =] can add an SSD for extra speed if you wish. It includes the bundle, monitor, keyboard and mouse =]

I would change that PSU to a Seasonic, Corsair, Enermaxx or NZXT Hale 90 one. I really haven't heard good things about the Cooler Master PSUs yet. But that might just be bad luck, I don't know.
