Does anyone know whether a BIOS update is needed to boot a san diego chip in the DFI boards? If so how does one go about updating it if they dont have another 939 non sd cpu?

well ill be guessing you will need a bios update, find a friend with a older chip and when the bios is released update bios witht hat chip in then put in the new one.

Been looking around today and I think they actually do, so you might not need that hotflash nick. Seems to work fine with the 3-10 anyway.

I bought the board quite a while ago though but haven't used it yet.

i think you need to you the 411, 412 or 413 bios for the SD. I used the 413 and my 3700+ is running fine.
