hi

does anyone know of any free software that can let me monitor 4+ webcams at once?

i've looked but found nothing.

any ideas?

There are a few linux solutions to CCTV

A free pre-packaged one is ZoneMinder :)

I do support for Linux based DVRM's. The hardware used in the ones I support is quite expensive tho as they are 16/24/32 port multiplexed systems.

I actually took a project last weakened in London to setup a lot of Wired DVR cameras in a shop. A nice free DVR software came with the card which i can get you the name, However you didnt mention what type of cameras are you talking about? DVR, Wireless ( IP or network or etc ) ...

Let me know, and i should be able to help you out!

Hi Weihk, :wavey: I know one Software that can support up to 16 local and 16 camera remote.

I've tested it myself and it's easy to use and navigate. It also support PTZ, motion detection and remote viewing via internet and mobile phone.

Free CCTV Software

Our old version of our IP camera software is free.

You can download it at iRecord.initsys.co.uk

You need to register and request a licence for more than 4 cameras, but its still free.

Most IP cameras are supported.

This software has been superceded by our new stuff. But its ideal for home and small business.

There is a manual on the site as well

Help yourself.

You can find a list of home video surveillance software with short review at www .video-home-surveillance.com The list is little bit outdated but anyway there are some good reviews there.
