Divide the cooling sections

I agree with this move, especially since we're doing a revamp anyhow. We will need the cooling section setup adequately for all of the new hardcore clockers that will be joining us :)

And by "Temporary" I assume you are meaning LN2/DICE? Should we add a submersion cooling section ;) j/k, i dont know anyone that does that, lol.

I did submersive oil once. A crap dell 1.7ghz 478 took the plunge.

I used the wrong type of oil. Didnt fry the system though.

Got the right type of mineral and it was good. I had fans moving the oil around! :)

Sweet dude! I've never seen it done in person before but it's definately a sight to behold.

I wonder if you stuck an evap in a case full of 3M HFE-7100 if it would keep it super cool? Damn now I wanna try! :D

So rather than having the sections under Normal/Advanced as they are now, do away with that and just have

Air Cooling

Water Cooling

Phase Change Cooling

Tec/Pelt Cooling

Other Cooling

?

Yeah pretty much. We definately need to have a section dedicated to LN2/DICE though, I plan on loading up that forum with results once my tube comes in :)

Maybe we need a mod chat tonight to discuss some bits and bobs to change around?

Hahaha great.

Replace other cooling with Dry Ice/Ln2.

:)

Once I get my p5wd2 back up I gotta get some more dice to feed my aluminum mousepot.

Imo its going to get over complicated with too many subforums, which are not going to be used to an extent that would make having them useful....yet.

I'm already using em, but when you have a guide for water cooling, posting it in 2 sections doesnt make much sense.

Maybe, but why not bring the whole types of cooling under cpu cooling? Theres not much point splitting the forums into the types of cooling, as there aren't enough threads to really make it worth having.

If the capacity of the Cpu threads was getting topped out, I'd agree, but there are less than 120 posts in the cpu cooling forums in total.

So your actually saying for more sections?

One of each type under cpu/gpu/other?

No. I'm saying less sections. IE have a Cooling forum (as is) but have all the CPU cooling in one subforum, then have Gpu and Other in two other subforums.
