Ive been growing up with maiden, metallica, sepultura, anthrax, helloween, kiss and loads more awesome metal bands. I would like to share the band disturbed with you. They got many great cover songs, for example the Genesis song "land of confusion" and the tear for fears song "shout". They also did a song to the "300 movie, witch is a great movie and awesome song tbh. Heres a list of my favourites songs from the band.

Yeah.. maybe they are too extreme for most people, but i sure like them. Id love to see them live one day

I agree with what Fragtek said in the above thread

I honestly can't name any of my favorite death metal bands that have sold out and made some whack ass shitty song just for radio play so people would know their name. That's what sellouts do, some bands are actually interested in making the music that their fans want to hear instead of the size of their wallet. Music before money!

I started listening to disturbed when 'the sickness' album came out and they were pretty good back then, some nice lyrics etc.

Since they released 'beleive' they have seemed like sellouts and their whole sound & even lyrics seemed to change into something that was more controlled and boring.

They are tolerable but I wouldn't say I am a real fan.

altho most of the songs on the sickness album are pretty good

I love Disturbed. The Sickness is my favorite album and I still listen to it. I do like the rest of their stuff as well, but it's "soft" compared to The Sickness.

Another good band I listened to in high school (along with Disturbed) is Slipknot. That was the time of Napster and burned CDs. Ah, the memories. Times have definitely changed in that regard.

I do like this band but Metallica is my favourite metal band closely followed by Lamb of God.

Disturbed is definitively a great band and they got loads of good songs with sick guitar. Numb is really good.

Honestly... they are okay, Down with the sickness is by far their most popular but of course... I was 12, and have found plenty more "hard" bands than them. To me they are a 14 year old emo kids wet dream. Thats about it, other than that they had some "disturbing" lyrics back in the 90s early 2000s but plenty worse gets said these days on talk radio than in their music. I enjoy them... But again it was a 12 year old kid phase to me. Not bashing, but just my opinion on them xD

Yeah, it's true they are not the most hardcore of bands. Have you heard of Architects? They got some sweet songs.

I like them, they've got some decent songs. I've seen them live too in December '10. That was pretty mental.

Not much point getting into "my music is heavier than yours, therefore I'm more mature battle" btw. But if it comes down to it, I'll win

Emo, really? Do you know what am emo is? I'd hardly call them emo, I wouldn't call them hardcore either.
