Did this go under radar? In-Win H-Frame case

So I was just scrolling around and found very popular retailer here in Sweden (http://www.komplett.se/k/ki.aspx?sku=761663) that was starting to to sell a specially engraved 1337 Edition case for their own brand of pre-built computers it looks amazing to say the least. Like something custom made just for them. So I started to dwell deeper into the story and research a bit and found out its actually a product made by In-Win, they are motly known for their tiny ITX cases and so on.

The In-Win H-Frame Limited Edition case

This case is built around an open air idea, so it will attract dust from the room next door... but it looks mental!

Just wanted to share it heresince I couldn't find any post on it at all. And who know maybe someone will fall in love with it or see its potential.

Thanks for pointing this out - it's a really striking design which I love although I though think it could do with some air filters...like everywhere.

I heard about this case and i really dislike it. It looks crap and the price is just ridiculous, i mean £300 for this!? Oh my...

Well there is no accounting for taste... though I didn't check the price. I expected £80-110.

Yeah the look of the case is like Marmite; You either love it or hate it. For £80-£110 i'd have respect for it and i'd think 'Yeah, that price is about right' but for £300 it's just insane.

I agree. But their motivation is two things.

1. Its all aluminum, and unlike ordinary cases with a front and back this construction frankly waste a lot of material. So material it uses the same amount the larger Lian-li tower models. Also all of it is 2-3mm thick. Which for a computer case is kind of insane in its own right.
2. Its limited. The retailer I contacted said they were only allowed 50 cases in total some which go to retail so which they will use for their pre-built model. Knowing Scandinavian countries got nearly half of the Sandy Bridge-E processors allocated to them at the release when those processors were still limited. I would assume that In-Win is trying the same thing.

I still dont think that can motivate 300£ (3200 SEK), but its a niche product. Its a bit like they are selling their idea and concepts of cause the fin design has been seen before(Like the Acer Aspire G Predator), but not in this kind of matter and not made out of aluminum.

Cases are matters of function and form, and what you regard most highly.

I'm not seeing much function and i'm not seeing much form. Colour me perplexed.

Ok, I had been looking for a cool idea for a case. In my eyes this is frickin awesome! (Who cares about dust when you're like me and change components and get a new OS every other week) I will definately be firing up solid works after work tomorrow... I can already tell my sheet metal guy is going to hate me... Hmmmm... and the anodising and powdercoat options... MIND RACING!... Expect new thread soon XD.
