This game is a failure. No wonder they are opening up to other platforms. No one plays it anymore.

It wasnt greed that ruined it. They realised people played so much that they could hit highest tier torment or reach lvl 100 quickly. So they forced a grind, removed gear drops from lower tiers, blocked us from using gear we had already collected.

They basically turned it into an Asian grind MMO thus removing every bit of fun that was left in it.

Their patch killed the game in an instant.

Oh yeah but the greed was a big motivator for them also.

Weirdly I’ve watched a lot of videos on it which is strange given I’ve never played it.

Most of the issue with it that people have is that it was supposed to be a true successor to the early ones but it just wasn’t due to greed.

Maybe if Baldurs Gate had not launched this year it might have passed but I think people are just over the whole paid model now.

They need to start making good games again that don’t see you reaching for your wallet. It’s just so blatant now.

I dont think BG had much impact. When streaming on Twitch for D4 goes from the high hundredes of thousands to just 914 viewers.. that is a failure with the game, not competition. For Diablo fans to drop from playing it says it all.

I can understand the seasonal pass. Although I think Destiny2 has done it best, with good rewards for the Free users too.

Blizzard under Bobby have destroyed themselves. Overwatch2 was panned, D4 declined faster than any other MMO like game I have known, WoW dragon isle was boring AF with nothing new besides flying a dragon which was limited to flight time, something that was infinite everywhere else.

They have no originality in their creations now, just rehashing and recycling and in 2023, it wont get you far.

Blizzard ruins everything. Used to be THE game company everyone enjoyed. As always once companies reach a certain point that's no longer true

Overwatch 2 was a massive failure. Great game I enjoy it but it's nothing they promised. It's 1.5 basically.

I will admit, WoTLK or TBC expansions of wow were so good, I had an unhealthy playing time. Im glad I broke that addiction. But now... its catered for a casual so much that there is zero effort required and became drab.

I never used to bother, but I have started watching recommended videos under Youtube's gaming bit. I have watched several videos on Diablo (bored?) and they all say the same thing.

I think BG basically reminded people what a good "no strings attached" game felt like to play, and was one of the several nails in the coffin.

And the feeling of being fleeced was definitely up there on the agenda, maybe just below the grind you speak about. Oh and people putting in the grind to get on a statue only to find they wouldn't.

D4 is garbage because of garbage items. The best items are 1 in a million drops. You can't farm bosses. Scaling makes the world seem blah no matter your level. I tried season 1 and made it to level 10 before I quit. Back to playing D2R and D3.

I played and completed the game in 2 days and not been back i was doing other things, but when I read that big patch notes I was like okay no reason to come back, they killed it completely seems you can't have a good flowing game from them anymore, the nerf was real, saying all that it just wasn't a finished game tbh and in truth lacked a reason or direction to move forward grind for the sake of grinding it seems.
