any reason why they haven't gone for the higher binned X48 chipset for such a release?

Yeah the X48 is on its way, and I've heard the X48 will also have a T3R (DDR3) board in the range.

Problem is finding a UK retailer for DFI boards, I was looking for the DFI LanParty DK P35-T2RS couldn't find one anywhere in the UK and ended up buying an MSI board

One thing ive always hated with Intel is TO many chipsets. Now that AMD bought ATi they are almost getting as bad cause were gonna have nForce and AMD chipsets
