DFI & Motherboards.

Hey guys.. i've had a quick poke about the place, but came to no suitable conclusion..

Does anybody know anything about THIS - DFI LANParty DK P35-T2R

It looks awesome.. And i am now looking for a new motherboard.

Aside from that, could anybody recommend me a good mobo? Was hoping to spend < £90, and was hoping to get a P35 chipset, due to its apparent overclocking advantages..

Been spying the BloodIron, and the Gigabyte models, but i'm not entirely sure what's best...

Any helps?

DFI FTW!

choice of mobo depends on a lot of things, SLI, Crossfire,1333fsb,quad,gaming surfing,mATX or ATX and on and on.

I am VERY rough on mobos (always soldering stuff to them) and never had a DFI failure, last 3 Asus mobos went up in flames (maybe I need to turn the soldering iron down, lol)

Ive read a few reports on it. Supposed to be pretty dam good.

Id like one to play with but theyre hard pickings in the UK.

is the p35 better than the x38 as i am looking at changing to an intel and dont know which to get (the only thing i am sure of is i want another DFI)

X38 is high end, P35 is midrange. Both are excellent overclockers.

Well i'm pretty set on getting one of these mothers but i just cant find ANYWHERE that stocks them. Not even the mighty ebuyer.. And I don't really fancy ordering from overseas to be honest..

Kinda sucky.. If any of you guys happen to stumble across one on sale in the uk, would you be so kind as to give me a heads up?? Love you forever if y'do

A friend of mine has one, and he really likes it. I live in Norway though, but fwiw I haven't had any negative experiences with DFI.

Y'know where he got it from? If they're in Europe then surely they'll be in the Uk soon!

OcUK are looking at reintroducing a limited range of DFI mobos if they can sort out a deal, particularly the support side.

& that's the problem - there is no UK DFI setup with all RMAs having to go back to Holland iirc.

Ebuyer have the DFI P35-TR2 in stock btw. I was quite surprised to see it while browsing yesterday.

If not, could you point me right to it? I can't seem to find it on eBuyer...

Hey.. I was wondering if you were going to start stocking the new DFI DK P35 motherboard, as the DFI site says you guys are a DFI mainboard stockist..

Nop they do have a DFI P35-TR2.

Ive got one that I picked up used (for a wk) for £130 was the best £130 I ever spent much better than the dire 680i it replaced overclocking is a dream and its just stable as anything took my X3210 up to 490x8 then the cpu bottled it at anything higher.

On another note scan should ahve stock of dfi motherboards sometime this month not a word on what boards though so it might be the whole lineup I hope.

Yeh £170 is a tad high but worth it imho.

But wait as scan are getting DFI boards in and that one might be one of them.

Just hit up Scan with a message that looks like this:

Hey.. Word on the street is that you as a company will be soon recieving a shipment of DFI motherboards.. I was just wondering if this was true, and if so, will the new P35 DK board be available..

Tbh, I don`t take a mobo as being `due for release` when I search and their site comes up, and they do tend to have new boards on there.

Prime example the IX38-MAX. They had price and everything.

Seems that they put the board up even tho ABit never shipped it. Perhaps they post them and bank on pre-orders or something. DFI possibly canceling more lab mobos than others.
