On the look out for a new computer desk seeing as I have a crappy IKEA job at the moment.

I'm struggling for good ideas so I thought I'd throw it open.

Small as possible is the key as my PC now lives in the hall way.

Must be able to fit a Lian Li Server Tower underneath and room for a 22" WS TFT and printer.

Case cane go sideways to help with the space but this leaves me knackered on where to put the printer.

Anyone any suggestions????

everywhere's a 130 mile drive from me :D

Rang about a Van advertised in Autotrader and according to the website it was 43 miles from my postcode, turned out to be more like 243 miles from me :D

IKEA have some awesome desks imo, some are top-notch quality.

Just make sure if you get one that you get a good quality one so you don't regret it and have to buy a new one :)

have a look in argos and the like, they have some small compact desks

some are really small so should fit in a hallway no problem.

i would stay away from the flimsy aluminum ones though, but depending one how little space you have one of them might do..

Heh, I've made my desk with a slab of countertop, a two 2x4s and a filing cabinet. I'll post a pic in a sec just for fun :)

make your own desk?

me old man used to make his own 'desks'

using 45mmx45mm square woods for frames, then whatever thick piece of plank to lay on top or make a divider under

its a 45min job, and a desk is made.....looks butt ugly, but fooking strong!

My desk has the same problem ayd :(

It cant house my case underneath so it has to go behind my monitor horizontally although it works for a stand for my centre speaker - noisy though

I dont have any more room horizontally unfortunately but i suppose i could go higher - my chair is prolly the most uncomfortable thing ever

I got my desk from a company that deals in used office furniture in Oxford.

I just got the biggest one that would fit in my room and was sturdy - which was a new desk at £60-70 and much more solid than ikea.

Handles my 22" mitsubishi dpro 2070 with ease :)
