Right guys, i need a new desk and chair, im after some elegant and minimal and not glass, as its a PITA to keep clean
ive searched ikea, argos, ebay, staples....and it all looks dull and boring
so suggestions gogogo......
Make the right choice... Nothing nice about having a desk with no room to place your legs under or not enough width for a keyboard and moniter. Also a chair which isn't comfy or is too big or can't be adjusted sucks. Me myself wouldn't be able to function without a high back chair. I don't like having arm rests on a chair as they just get in the way for my elbows to hang down when typing and don't allow for me to push the chair under the desk (Like to have my body about an inch away from the desk any more and it doesn't 'feel' right)

Yeah know exactly what you mean, desk i have is not too bad atm, but the chair is shit and like i could do with somemore room for the sake of a chair upgrade

I actually really like that old white desk, nice, wide and clean.
And what happened to that one?
Also that monitor its on my to buy list i want 3 of them and am contemplating selling mine now but they dont do any 1440p models but that monitor is gorgeous
does it look as crisp ?

thats a Malm from ikea, it was awesome, kept it in the shed, but it got damp and rotted out, so of to the dump it went!
Monitor is actually good, but i do regret the purchase, 1400p is the way forward, apparently LG use the same panel but have a dark finish on the monitor

So whats wrong with another malm, does that not fall under budget?
And its the look of that thing as much as anything it goes with my keyboard and mouse etc ...

well id get another one in a heartbeat, but they dont do one with a Beech finish, i got a new wardrobe and its beech, so dont think a black one would look good

has to be a straight desk, because its on the back wall in the room, like something which has uber legroom

My friend has a desk called Innova, it's really nice, that strip that looks like glass from left to right is L.E.D also. Here is a LINK.
I have a MALM desk from IKEA, here is a picture but it would look nicer with something a little more sleek on there like a 750d?
Oh and this desk of mine in the picture, the dimensions are W-1400 D-650 H-730
