Dell UltraSharp 3008W; Best settings??

I have a 30" Dell 3008WFP, revision 3...I use a 295 gtx, when using the native resolution, 2560x1600, Windows is very distorted and does not display properly, ive heard u need a separate video card to correctly display this res, is this true?

Which are the best settings for the display, as i have read that it does not come out of the box with best settings, if someone can help, Thanks!

there should be no need for another gfx card...

any chance of a pic of the distorted image please?

have you tried both DVI ports on the gfx card?

it should be pretty much plug and play, at least it was on my 3007

What i mean is the txt is distorted, how can i take a pic of the desk top? all other res's are fine!

Vista/7: Control Panel > Display > Adjust ClearType text > checkbox on/off
