Decent free DVD player software

Anyone know of a decent free DVD player app, all the usual cost dosh.

VLC media player just search for it

VLC/WMP Classic, either is very good.

If you don't have a MPEG2 codec installed already, use VLC, no need to find one then

WMP classic doesnt need a codec insatleld does it?

WMP 10 or 11 whatever it is now will not play DVD on my machine so I am obviously short of the codec. Am just about to search for VLC now.

try WMP classic first

I think it does (need a codec installed). VLC seems to be the only self contained player.

If you get WMP Classic with the K-Lite Codec Pack, then you get an MPEG2 decoder with it (albeit of questionable legality)

I personally use Media Player Classic with CCCP
