Well some how I killed it :(

It's a sad sorry day I was running the second loop of 2001se when the mobo shutdown and would not boot again :( it looks like a pin has melted or broken off??

When I got the mobo it had a few bents but I straightened then and continued on :(

Damned shame about that chap, don't feel too bad, many of us have trashed some decent hardware lately

I know I am now waiting to see if I can get another one also it could have damaged my trusty psu :( or worse cpu

To make you feel better, I also trashed my DFI SLi-DR Lanparty board last week when some of the tiny resistors came away with the seal string  Well to look on the bright side of things at least I got to make my cmos battery extender from its severed cadavers, be it a very expensive battery extender

Can imagine how you feel right now :(.

Remember when my VGA passed out i was so depressed.

Cheer up, probably not the 1st piece of kit died in your hands, though :).

Sorry to hear this :(

Is it a motherboard fault/ weakness I should be looking for when mine arrives?

Just check the socket pins arent bent

BigAndy I have killed loads but I dont have a spare socket 775 mobo for back up and I just rebuilt my hdd to suit the mobo :(

Grrrr, what a pain in the a*se. I used to get away with just swapping HDD from system to system with my older systems. It's a shame there isn't some kind of universal controller/ way of recognising the drives :(

EDIT: There are too many sad faces in this thread, so here are some smilies to cheer things up :) :) :) :) :) :) :) :)
