MoBo info-
http://support.gateway.com/s/MOTHERBD/Shared/4006202R/4006202Rmv.shtml
Im looking to upgrade this pc to its max of 2gb, the mobo info says its max is 2gb anyways. Wish i could somehow squeeze in more! Anyway this rig is running win Vista Home Premim 32bit. Im just wondering if the best speed to go with is the 800mhz or the 667mhz? The price is nearly the same from most vendors i've been browsing at around 25-30 bucks. I really wanted to confirm with you guys if the PC2-6400, and PC2-5300 are both in fact compatable with this eMachine-T5062 mobo. Its always best to ask the wizkids. Im also tosing in a Galaxy Gforce GT610 to help reduce strain on the pc from the intigrated gpu. So why the hell am i waisting money on a lowend rig? I got it free, and its not for me. Its for my 12yo son who just wants to run some games better then his even older 8bit Tandy1000
(i exaggerate... slightly
). Anyways the RAM im looking at is this set http://www.amazon.com/PNY-Channel-PC2-6400-Desktop-MD2048KD2-800/dp/B000PVNQLE/ref=pd_cp_e_0 for now. Better ideas/prices?
This RAM seem good for the price, is it compatable with this MoBo, and is there a way i could stuff more RAM into this PC?
