Ddr 4 ram?

I was looking at one of my motherboards and it says it supports ddr 4 ram. WTF i didnt think you could get that for desktop? Whats the pros and cons and should i get some?
 
You cant get ddr4 commercially available yet and wont be able for 2-3 years so i doubt it said that.... the only thing close is it may have said it supported GDDR4 graphics cards.....

Yeah, that board is socket 939 AMD (2004ish). DDR2 wasn't even widely used by that stage - hence why the board is still DDR.
 
DDR 4 is confirmed for Haswell's server chips, I can assume they will be on broadwell enthusiast chips and then on desktop chips by skylake-ish
