Cyberpunk 2077 will feature DLSS 2.0 and four types of Ray Tracing

And that just means you'll need a RTX 3080 to run it. I can't imagine this game being easy to run with how detailed it looks.

It runs on an Xbox One. With the right settings most PC gamers with relatively modern PCs will be fine.

Maxed out settings will always be a "next-gen GPU" game for big AAAs. That's why they keep making stronger GPUs.

Could that be why it has been delayed until Nvidia release the 30 series?
No way dude, that would be the dumbest conspiracy theory ever. No one's going to need next gen hardware to run this thing, although I'm sure Nvidiot will do everything in their power to convince the unwashed masses that they will. :D

That doesn't really mean anything. They scale it down.

I'm all for pushing GPU technology but that will happen regardless and if the games run like crap that's no excuse for the studio. Crysis is the only exception since they marketed the games that way so they set that expectation.

So just to stress I'm not bagging on them I'm excited for the game but it should still be optimized. Reasonable hardware should be able to do High/No RT 60fps. If they can do that then I'm all for crushing the high end stuff because why not. It just shouldn't be only high end stuff to even be playable if that makes sense

Oh, It Looked pretty average to me, GFX wise, which is why I thought the trailers & gameplay footage were from the Xbox One X, TBH.

..only running at 30fps, as well.

Not impressed to find out we were actually looking at the PC version.

We have to give them merit based on reputation. Look what they did for Witcher 3. It blew everyone away when it was a great AAA title to stress a system.

Could you imagine this with VR support. Hot diggity I would live inside this world almost forever :D

edit 2* makes me want to pick up a HDR1000 premium screen in preparation.

Metro Exodus punished GPUs with RT, and it was pretty linear. Mostly down to poor RT performance.

We will see I guess.

You'll burn your retinas out with a monitor that does 1000 nits brightness 1m away from your face :D

I really hope the RT in this is hardware agnostic, Would suck when AMD's RDNA2 cards come out and the dev has the RT options locked down to Nvidia only.

I reckon it will be. CDPR has never locked down on a particular brand. They have been open, honest and catered for everyone, even SLI and Crossfire!

When SLI died, they kept it alive. If W3 performed better on intel/nvidia, i dont think it was favouritism, I think it was simply that I/N were far ahead of AMD at that time.

True but you have to remember Nvidia Hairworks in TW3, It performs terribly on AMD GPU's, I just hope CDPR haven't sold their soul for Nvidia money.

Fair point, but this is a package "GameWorks" injected into the game for Nvidia. Im sure if AMD had TressFx (iirc) put into it, then CDPR would have treated this one with care and attention too.

What I was trying to say is that I dont think they would sign an exclusive deal to favour one over the other. e.g. if Nvidia said, we want you to use RTX only and not allow Direct X ray tracing etc, then Nvidia would prob get a middle finger to an extent.
