In a way this will work against them and the industry also.

Many people on the `net are saying to buy the game and use a NoDVD.exe to play it. Whilst these people may never have seen or used a nocd/dvd file b4, suddenly they`re now introduced to a whole new world of "what the eff did I buy the DVD for ?" - when they see just above their search for the nodvd is a file that contains the whole game.

Don`t think they thought that far ahead. Freakin idiots.

A very valid point sir, email it to EA customer support with the prefix 'you've shot yourself in both feet, hands and one one eye!'

I reckon I'll buy legit, but only because of the price. I don't mind supporting developers for good games (which I've heard this is), but I do mind supporting EA and its stupid pircay increasing, privcy reducing DRM. Did they look at Spore and think "well that was a bad idea...let's do it again" or perhaps they are so used to criticism they can filter it out. Think of any good movie tie ins by EA?

Well Said. ;)

I've been using No CD cracks for years now. I generally try out most of my games under Linux in conjunction with Wine, which almost always needs a crack to get it working on account of the CD drive being accessed totally differently. I also don't like messing with CDs constantly. It's just so much easier to carry the laptop (and the laptop alone) whenever I take part in LAN gaming.

Honestly treating all legit customer like pirating thieves it's really good marketing....

"Devoid of logic" are the 3 words that come to mind regarding EA atm.

Its like TV licensing...guilty until proven innocent. The number of pirated copies increases with the restrictions imposed. The price is low enough for almost anyone to afford on this so really, they don't need this level of protection...

I'm waiting for EA to insist you send your PC to them every half hour to prove your not using a pirate copy

The devs have already been paid :p Ur supporting the publishers. I know what u mean tho. ;)

Have a look at this satire:

Click me

I think it's quite apt.

Is this exam done with robots with tubes?

Do we fast ahead of time?

Suppose the tubes run into some sort of blockage due to fasting errors?

Do we receive a stamp?

So many questions .....
