Crysis System Reqs Revealed

Hmm it says 2.8 min, my 4000+ is at 2.8 lol. Guess i'll have to wait until Christmas to play it but.. I reckon to get good fps 8800 ultra in sli or something lol

Reminds me of some stoopid setting u used to get in installers that would pre-check u`r cpu clock b4 installing the game.

It didn`t matter what the processor was, if it was under 2.0ghz or something it would wig-out and exit.

In the same instance, if u were to have a generation after next cpu that they revolutionarily made clock @ 1.5ghz even tho it was 10x faster than the present quads, it`d still not allow u to install !!

(without changing the script of course ;) )

You have to take into account how AMD run things.. :)

The 4000+ runs at 2.8Ghz but is rated 4Ghz. Meaning it is supposed to perform as good as a 4ghz CPU..Something special with the clock cycles.

This is true! :)

They are doing 1 core for each part of the game.. for example Physics, AI and so on.

Each will have its own core.

I can see it putting a load of stress on any system then, poor single core owners

I will test this with the ol 3000+. I bet i pwn Crysis. I will see how much of a gain i get from going single to dual. This game is still not a true multithreaded game, therefor its still optimized for single core no matter what.

You are joking right? Basically Far Cry 2... Although there is also a Far Cry 2 coming out...

I thought the /gives forum a heart attack was synonymous with joking...

Of course I know what Crysis did, I posted news on it before.

[Will be back soon I promise injuries suck btw]

Guys guys, this is painfully obvious that the minimum reqs are for DX9 users, and the recommended is for the DX10 users. Nah if i can run my games fully maxed out with 8xS AA im pretty sure we can be able to play this game maxed in DX9. I mean your card is supposed to be able to whoop mine anyways. Not only that, DX9 users have to realize that just becasue its a DX10 games dosent mean the DX9 graphics got any better ;) I dont expect it to look any better in DX9 than our current (might i add beautiful game) of DiRT or Bioshock. (Which i can max)

Anywhos, for those saying Nvidia didnt have a reason to release a new flafship card, im pretty sure this just proved why i want the 9800GTX so bad.

No you cant, lol. With my 3600+ @ 3GHz and my X1950XT @ 700/2000, I just got by on LOW settings, no AA/AF, 1680x1050 in the Crysis MP Beta Demo in XP. FYI the current demo is DX9 for everyone, even if you're running a DX10 card & Vista. The 1950XT blows the doors off of 7950GT 512's, I've had both.

its a BETA. Runs like

on my 8800 too

Hmm, with rig in sig, I can run it totally maxxed, no AA/AF @ 1680x1050 with 30-50FPS pretty darn well :)

But I do agree, it's not fully optimized yet. (It better NOT be)

Its a Beta like said. We will see. I bet i pwn it like every other DX9 game out there. And the X1950XT on paper (gpureview) compared to my overclocked 7950GT is almost the same. In 3dmark 06 i whoop the 7900GTX and according to charts it surpasses the X1950XT. ITs all on how you work it really and the system behind it.

Dx9 is Dx9. You cant really make it any better than what they have already. Not only that, DiRT, Bioshock, CoD4 demo, CoH ect are all maxed on my machine with 8xsAA @1440x900 (19" WS). I dont expect much more outa these games just cause they are DX10 as well. The tests being done are at a higher res than what i play at so i dont worry about that.

NickS, my friend has a X1950XT and it outperforms my 8800GTS at the same resolution. THe game isnt optimized, and i guess the ATI drivers are better, noticing that u have a 2900PRO.
