Crysis 2 problem

After I patched Crysis 2 to 1.9, I play the campaign and then outta nowhere the screen turns black, the background music still going. It doesn't crash but it does not turn back to normal after waiting. So I ctrl+alt+delete it and it shows up as not responding. Anyone else having this problem. Some people say its an overclock stability problem but my gtx 560 ti is overclocked to 930, 1860, and 2100 in msi afterburner. My drivers are also the latest 275.33.

most likely mem issue with ur 569ti the patches (assuming ur running theam all DX11 and Ultra) needs a gpu with 1.5GHz of mem I have 1,3GHz and get it after playing long times min mailty hits at episode change making me redo the priro episode again lol. But this is after several hours of playing. And it doesnt do it all the time maybe 1 out of every 3-4 times. also sys reqs say 8gb of ram as well

Could be an overclock issue, why not revert back to stock clocks, and try the game again? If you are maxing everything I doubt it will work, you don't have enough memory (as S_I_N says you need 1.5GB).

So try at slightly lower settings, or at max DX11 w/out the high res, just play around, I'm sure it will work, just not with everything maxed.

im having a similar issue with my stock 570! the screen doesnt turn black, but the game just freezes and ctrl alt del doesnt do anything... i have to reset the system everytime it happens. dunno why it happens, temps are fine on my system. might try reinstalling.

No judging here but to help figure out the issue have to ask if your copy is store bought, steam or Torrent.
