CPU temps

Can anyone tell me if the temp for core 3 is ok?

I have noticed that the temp for core 3 is quite a bit higher than the other cores, I know that there will always be a few degrees between them not matter what but I was wondering if the difference is higher than it should be.

I thought maybe it was because I didn't apply my thermal paste properly but I have re-applied it several times and it's always the same with that one core. Everything runs fine thou and it's not causing any problems, using the crappy stock Intel cooler BTW.

EDIT: Strange, I just downloaded Real Temp and Core Temp to see if it's just Cupid and the temps are different on all three, which one do I trust?

They all seem quite similar, I wouldn't worry too much, I think the temps are normal. You could go into bios to see the temps though, it will be the most accurate reading.

Thanks for the reply.

Yeah, those pics I took don't show it but some times core #3 can be up to 9c hotter than the other cores, but i'm not to worried, everything is running stable so there isn't anything wrong with the CPU it's self.

I'm also stuck with the stock cooler ATM, saving my pennies for a NH D14 so until then temps wont be great anyway.

not all cores will run at the same temps mate just something that happens i remember on my old q6600 2 of the cores were 10+ degree's hotter than the other and even lappin didnt sort it so it was just left as that

Normal mate, the sensors in the cores are really only designed for accurate readings when the cores approach overheating, so the CPU can throttle.

That makes sense, I mentioned in another thread that my temps even out when on load and they are within 1-2c of each other. I never monitored my temps before when I had my Q6600, I only started doing it when I got my 2500K I think i'm just being a bit paranoid, lol. Thanks for the reply anyway.
