The main reason why i "hate" apple is not that that the products are overpriced or anything. Ppl can do whatever they want with their money, so i dint care. But the thing that drives me nuts is that apple has to have a patent on everything they "produce/invent". They are sueing everyone and everything where an apple is shown.

For example there was a cafe somewhere in germany called "Apfelkind" which means something like "apple child". It was a great place for mothers chilling out because they could give their child to a nurse for the time they were in the cafe so they can have some free time. Apple sued them because the logo looked too similar. Here is what the logo was like:

I man come on Apple. Same with Samsung and the freaking design of all those god damn phones.

Exactly. My primary problem is with their abhorrent behavior, as mentioned. If they want to have high prices and people pay them, fair enough.

Yeah, effin' hell I actually read about that a while back! What a douche move. Similar thing happened with a school (university?) in the US if I recall correctly. Not entirely sure though.

The pathetic thing (in my opinion) is all the retarded shit they (not just Apple, other companies as well) can get away with patenting. Sure, some of those patents will later be invalidated (like this week the swipe to unlock gesture), but the fact that something like that can even be patented in the first place and does not get laughed out at the patent office is seriously disturbing to me.

If I was responsible for granting patents and somebody came to me with something as ridiculous as "Swipe to unlock" I would tell them to never bother me again unless they found the cure for cancer or something like that. I mean come the fuck on! :banghead:

Apple. One of the few companies who make Origin Alienware and Falcon Northwest look positively cheap.

oi, dat bakingplate? it's rectangular with rounded corners. looks pretty much like an iphone, give us 3 billion dollars.

Do you mean cheap (low quality as well as low price) or affordable (simply low price)? No sarcasm, serious question.

I mean cheap as in prices. How Apple can get away with charging a thousand pounds for a laptop with the Intel GMA is a mystery to me.
