Although the CPU of course does not hit 100% usage, it does directly affect my graphics set up.
After some long testing - I got the following results in 3D Mark Vantage:
CPU @ 2.50Ghz (stock): 14464 (GPU score) + 9779 (CPU score)
CPU @ 2.74GHz : 14671 + 10285
CPU @ 3.22GHz : 15548 + 11799
CPU @ 3.30GHz : 15998 + 12029
All of the test had exactly the same set up - the only thing I changed was the FSB speed in the BIOS (and I tweaked the voltage a little on the last one).
But, nonetheless, it is quite clear that my CPU was not letting the graphics cards attain the highest score that they possibly could - in the screenshot it was running at 3.00GHz.
So, Rastalovich, before you suggest that my processor is "not going to bottleneck anything", I advise you to double check. Maybe carry out some of your own research if you still think you have a case that "none of which is the fault of the CPU."
