I have a fat 'cable' connection, but my ISP doesn't allow servers on the network

Boo....run it on port 110, and just say that it must be your e-mail client sending pop3 mail on that port ;)

Even better, stick it behind a firewall and hide the port so they wont be able to check.

eeeexcellent. Wonder how bad our pings would be to you lot over there? :eh:

Prolly as awful as PV's ping on the UK SX server! :(

But hey, it would be cool to have 3 CSS servers dotted around the globe :D

Yeah that would be sweet! :worship:

I'm also trying to persuade Frag to put UT2k4 on his server and then i may well set up this kind of structure for our servers:

uk.css.sxgaming.com

uk.ut.sxgaming.com

us.css.sxgaming.com

us.ut.sxgaming.com

and if PV joins in...

au.css.sxgaming.com

au.ut.sxgaming.com

:yumyum:

That would be uber sweet!

Would frag be able to run both 24/7, or just one?

Seriously maybe SX would get on the map with some 24/7 server action! :wavey:

My ADSL connection has the same upload as PV's atm, and it's doubling in around a month so I could join in with the servers :)

Nice bro! I've been contemplating the idea of a dedicated T1 into my house just for the nice upstream, but the downstream licks my sack. Dunno if thats something I'd like to pay $200-300 a month for

Well I'll paying AU$89.95 a month for 24000/1000, it costs $30 for the static IP by going SOHO :( It would be AU$59.95 a month for 24000/1000 then! But I need my static IP, and I'm not paying for all of it :D

God I wish we had some cheap shit like that in the states.... I'd be all over the $60/month connection man, that's so fuckin CHEAP! I pay $49/month USD for my 6000/512 connection.

My parents pay, lol, for our 5Mbit/512 connection, $44.99 a month plus all the shitty ass charges and shit Time Warner Cable tacs on, so it comes to about $53.xx)
