Idk if anyone else has checked out this ram but a buddy of mine spec'd out the 8gig kit (1866) and while the speeds are there on 1.5v the heatspreader are a joke... One came off on installation the other looked like it was barely touching the modules. I told him to go with mushkin or xms/dom variant for corsair but he wanted the xmp lol.

"Manufacturer Response:

We would like to recover this memory kit and pass it to engineering so that we can look into this issue. Can you please contact Customer Service and tell them that you have been referred for an FA-RMA? We apologize for your inconvenience."

Anyone else have this issue?

I have some Vengeance ram and never had a problem with the heat sinks they are firmly in place on mine i think your might have not been assembled properly.

Heatspreaders are more of a noveltiy thing anyway, tell him to rma it or just use the kit it will work either way.
