Corsair Vengeance LP Blue

Hey there,

I'm about to buy this and I was wondering if anybody had any specific reasons as to why I shouldn't.

Just in case I've missed something as I've been looking at reviews. It'd go in this (future) spec:

MSI-Z77A-GD65

i7 3770K

I was going to get Mushkin Redline Ridgeback but I'm not sure if I might need to get a better cooler for my new build (I want to see how hut it will run with a minor overclock since that's all I need) so it could cause issues with say, NH-D14 (I could push fans up, but there is limited case space left if I do that with side panel fans!) and it's quite a lot more, also someone pulled out of buying my old parts so I'm running over budget as it is.

Thanks.

corsair Vengeance LP is awsome stuff. To be fair, I dont think the "heatspreaders" make an awfull lot of difference on ram, mainly due to the fact that most of them are made out of plastic rather than anyform of decent heat conductive meterial. I have a set of corsair ram without any heatspreaders and it gets no hotter than my vengeance with massive "heat spreaders".

I've got this exact ram in my rig now and have had for a good 6 months and they works fine. Also using a NH-D14 here, no clearance issues at all

DDR3 ram doesn't get that hot at all so with or without heatsink is not too much of an issue really. With the ridgebacks, you would need to move the fan up very slightly but not as much if you were installing the Dominator ram. But with the LP ram, you will have lots of room under NH-D14 cooler
