Corsair SP120PE vs SP120QE Noise levels

Was thinking of getting some of the corsair SP120 fans to use with an XSPC RX360 Rad, but was wondering how the noise of the performance editions compares to the quiet ones, when operating at the same RPM.

I want to be able to run a quiet PC majority of the time, but still be able to crank the cooling and do some fairly "hardcore" benchmarking.

Cheers

Well the QE's on 12V are very quiet, the pump on my H100 is louder. The PE's would need to run at 7V i do believe to run at the same RPM as the QE's, at which both would perform pretty much the same. At 12V the PE's are super loud so you might as well go for the QE's and run them at 12V off a molex (this is what i do, it works a treat :) )

BIG difference, turning the fans up for benchmarking wont make much difference unless you rad is running on its limits. If loaded correctly quiet fans are plenty.

I knew that the increased fan speed wouldn't do much, but figured every little bit counts.

The good thing about the XSPC RX360 rad is the low fin count; only needs low RPM fans.

I guess that settles it though... quiet edition it is!

Thanks for the replies.
