Corsair rm550 tick tick noise ?

Hi I have a brand new corsair rm550 but the noise when i put the wire then i click it on then I here tick tick tick noise is this normal?
My system is not fully here but i thought i try it with no wires installed but its making a funy tick tick tick tick tick tick tick tick tick tick tick tick tick coming from the psu is this normal?

Have you shorted the 24pin to allow the PSU to reach a power on state?

em I did not do that as I have no gear in the rig just the fans are hooked up and thats it as well as the hard drive. I think it wont make that noise if I had all my computers parts im still waiting on dabs parcel .......
would you think should I wait for all my gear before powering on psu?
