Not if you used the same components, You'd be looking at roughly 200 less but for that 200 it comes prebuilt in quite a stylish case with a warranty.

Looks like the 140 is exhaust (top) and the intake is through the rads on either side. Makes sense to me to do it that way at least.

Like most pre built systems - Asus/MSI/Alienware/Razer you pay a little more for the finished product but you get warranty and you actually get a finished product.

I'd 100% agree most people on this forum would/could do it for less and get the satisfaction of doing it so as well. Of course the down side of that is when things go wrong we have to work it out ourselves.

Bearing in mind it's SFF In Aus at least it's not priced that badly. Between 200 and 500 AUD more than a similar spec pre built mid tower from the same etailer.

I priced one using the same specs as the corsair website (which is vague AF by the way), so assuming it's a 1080 Seahawk (or equivalent AIO gpu cooling solution), 16GB vengeance, a 480 M.2 SSD, WD Black HDD, Strix Z270i and a corsair SFX 600 PSU and an H100 style cooler it comes to 3k AUD without a case. The same reseller (PCCG) lists the Pro version of the corsair one at $3149...

Granted I make quite a few assumptions - Corsair products where available and an M.2 drive where it could be a standard SSD but and I'm only guessing that the SFF cooler would be around the same price as a standard H100. It could also be a no name mobo. But yeah sounds like you guys are getting ripped by the exchange rate and VAT or something.

Apparently it draws air in from the bottom, then expels it out of the roof, drawing an equal pressure over both rads. Linus has a video up..

I like it. It's very dressed down too, from what could have been a real tart's handbag.

You will always pay extra for boutique. Trying to work it out logically (the price) doesn't make a lot of sense really. Sure, you can calculate that the case and cooling costs $X, but at the end of the day the price will never make any logical sense on PCs like this. You are paying for something different, you can't really put a price tag on that.

It's exactly what I would love to get for my next rig. I'm kinda getting tired of bulky systems, although my current one would be converted into my personal server when that time comes. I think my only beef with the current options for the One, is why can't we built it with far more options if we purchase it directly from Corsair? I'd rather have a 1080 Ti, no mechanical drive and more RAM/SSD options etc.

Also the lack of Thunderbolt 3 is a shame, considering this is somewhat an important option for SFF builds if you want to add an array of external disks. I can get around the missing headphone jacks in the front like some reviewers have commented on.

As for the extra cost I think it's fine really considering you get a super tiny powerful PC which is both near silent and still being kept cool. But of course if you're one of those people like me who likes to upgrade stuff every year, this is probably not a good choice for those.

Unless you spec it quite low I don't think you'd get a whole lot cheaper for the same features/size/performance.
