The prices of this stuff is remtarded, Wonder how long it will take to come down to more human prices.
I have just been told my credit limit on card is being increased from October so I know I will have, enough to go for X99 in October but I am going to wait because of the prices of this ram.
I know heatspreaders etc cost money and a higher frequency of ram cost's abit more, but when Adata is going to release 16Gb DDR4 kit at around the £120 mark but Corsair and the rest, want nearly double that or more just for putting a heat spreader on it and it being slightly faster, it puts me off buying it.
I could sell my X79 setup to cover most of the cost but I still don't think it's worth it, because the manufacturers are over charging and also the retailers are going to add money on to the cost as well which just makes it foolish to buy, straight away in my oppinion.
I am disappointed to see only 16 gig kits are available. Really?? And trying to pre order this from Corsairs website is a total pain in the arse. Yes I know about non disclosure etc etc, but why put it up on the website if we can't order it? I am ready to do a Haswell E build the second I can get my hands of the proc, motherboard and ram. Got all the other stuff sitting here waiting, my good old E8500 build needs to be put out to pasture.
What I meant was why only 16 gig kits, instead of 32 gig kits or 64 gig kits?Of course there are only 16 GB kits, because its meant to be used with X99. Who on X99 would want less?
