Let's have a look at Corsair's new Maglev ML120 and ML140 fans. Are they as quiet as Corsair claim?

Corsair ML120 & ML140 Magnetic Levitation Fan Review

Tom your T-Shirt put me off I thought the fans were on the roof :p

on topic not for me personally as I have 4 Vardars in my rig and they suit me just fine without the flashy lights ;)

5 x of the 140mm white LED versions are on my wishlist, Just hope the black corners are available to buy.

Wow Dice you wanna know how much 5 of the 140mm fans will cost you here $275.00aud

I'm sorry i just can't see how these fans are worth $55.00 each for the 140mm fans, I think corsair is taking the you know what with these fans.

£100 with shipping for 5 of these over here, Yeah sure it's not cheap but quieter with better performance and they look great :)

All i can say is you're mad Dice ^_^

I'm going on pricing here i can't see shops selling many of these cause most people won't even pay the money that Noctua charges.

Wish the non LED versions had the frosted blades. I'd get a few of them if they looked that way.
Nice spec fans even though :D

How do they compare to the Phanteks PH-F140SP? I have a full set of them and they are rated very well.

In short the Corsairs are lightyears ahead but here are the specs -

Phanteks PH-F140SP

250-1200 RPM

Max Airflow
82.1 CFM

Acoustical Noise
19 dB (A)

Static Pressure
1.33mm H2O

Corsair ML140 Pro

400 - 2000 RPM

Max Airflow
20 - 97 CFM

Acoustical Noise
16 - 37 dBA

Static Pressure
0.2 - 3.0 mmH20

I retract all prior complaints about price, those details just made me :dribble:

When compariing fans you have to compare them at same noise level or same rpm. Of course the corsair has a higher static pressure and more airflow if it's running with 800 rpm more. But then it basically has double the dBA.

From looking at the few reviews out there, like OC3D and Unicorn's Reviews on Youtube, I honestly can not see what is so special about them?...

They sounded quite loud in the reviews, despite being called out as "being quieter but offer better performance". But I honestly can't tell it, and to then also justify the cost of them? Even harder.

What is it that says these are better than their current AF and SP fans, for half the price?...
Other than the motor itself, the "Magnetic Levitation"?.

I'm more than happy with the corsair fans I am running now. I prefer the look of the coloured ring on the standard fans to the LED or plain look of the maglev fans, too.
