Corsair Makes Memory Even Cooler

Just to mirror what you said in the article...WHY!!! Water cooling alone is overkill for most modules and offers little/no benefits now we're using low voltage DDR3.

I remember seeing a while back someone ghetto pelt cooling some DDR2 modules. They got about 5mhz extra out of them or something stupid. Hardly worth the effort.

I think providing additional or better cooling is a good thing (like OCZ's FlexXLC RAM cooling), so long as it doesn't make the end price absolutely ridiculous for negligible/little gain. So are they experimenting with a pelt block system like CooIT? That's what it looks like anyway...

Absolutely no idea.

U pay for something like this and u should maybe have extreme cpus, either instead or in addition.

Sure the experiment for it to work well is a good one in the lab, but for sale I dunno.

Almost every picture i've seen of a pro benchers LN2/DI setup has just had bog standard fans blowing over the DIMM's, i'm pretty sure it was commonly accepted that watercooling RAM gained almost nothing, so who they are aiming this at I really dont know....

Wow their R&D dept must be board...

TECs are a waste at the best of times, but for ram? sigh.

Atleast it wouldnt need high power tecs.. Its more of a novelty IMO, which is why I quite like it :S
