Both i believe to be modular. TX is 10 quid cheaper. which one do i go for?

System:

i5-2500K

bequiet dark rock advanced

MSI 560-ti Hawk

Corsair force 3 SSD

Seagate barracuda .12 1TB HDD

Samsung Optical drive

Gigabyte Z68XP-UD3P MoBo

600T White case

Corsair vengence LP white 8GB RAM

Thanks Guys!!

go for the Gold series A.K.A. the HX version also be wary not all TX's are modular they come both ways

the tx750M when i compared it against the HX650 seemed to have a newer ATX rating or something. yet the HX is more expensive. what is the main difference between these 2 PSUs? is the HX really more superior. Also would the cables be long enough to run up the back of my case to the CPU power

yes the cable should reach might have to play with the fan up/down I had to put mine down to make it reach. The difference is in the 80plus certification the TX is Bronze and the HX is Silver while the AX is Gold basically each level increases efficiency

the HX 650w is still bronze hence the confusion as to which is better

It's just modular vs non-modular. If you don't need modular cables go with the TX and save some money. Takes more to hide the wires, but that's the route I've gone now with half a dozen builds.

Edit: Wait, now there is a TX M series (M denotes modular). WTF lol.

yeah I had to go back and retype alot of what I was saying lol now they make TX both ways just gotta make sure what ya order

The PC Power and Cooling 650 watt PSU is very well priced and its 80+ Silver. 7 Year warranty, I bought one myself!

yeah this is precisely what has confused me the TX modular. I want a modular PSU and that given the TX seems like a good option however if the HX really is superior i may get that

ok having done a bit more research it seems the keyword here is semi modular. Apparently the TX M has 4 molex connectors on it of which my case will only be using one for the fan connector. it is now narrowed down to these two

what would you do guys? spend the extra 16 quid for possible upgrades in the future and a silver rating or save the money? would the 750w overkill do any damage to my system??

Ihave and use the HX750 great psu if you plan on sli for ur 560ti then it'll be fine if you plan on higher card and sli go 850. Otherwise if planning on staying single 560TI then 650 will work well for you

You can never have too many watts, the system only draws what it needs, the rating is the maximum output, not constant output. The only thing that may be affected is the efficiency but over 100 watts you have nothing to worry about.

If it was me, I'd go with a higher wattage bronze unit.

I agree with the first part lol but if'n it were me I'd go gold or silver and stay away from bronze all together. Thats just my preference
