had this for a while and today i was going to change my cpu to the new one i got my hands on

so as i start to take the screw out of the bit thats holding the pump and heatsink bit i feel this sticky fluid i get the torch out and look at it and see wetness on the fan so im like ****!!! and take the thing out there so fast sits it down and one of the tubes going into the rads nearly completed ripped itself off bad times

and now i dont have a back up cooler and the stock ones dont fit on my mobo :(

its the weekend and i have no pennies to replace it cause of buyin the new cpu fun times this weekend wonder what i can do to make quick cash

Send it back! I'm sure corsair will warrant you something. Did you buy it from new? Seeing as these cheap watercoolers are about the same price as a high end air-cooler they are being snapped up by loads of peeps wanting some of the watercooling magic. But they don't take into account the potential risks.

i didnt buy it new it was about 4 weeks old and in perfect nick im waitin on microdirect giving me an RMA cause the guy i got it from gave me the original receipt for it, it was only bought at the end of October last year, but other than that the temps were really great but they gradually got worse over time the leak must have been there for a while but not enuff to drip on anything but when i was changing it i must have made it leak more then i touched the bottom of the rad and it was damp and it was out there as fast as hell ran to the loo and stuffed loads of paper towels below it and got those screws out pronto

i managed to dig out a stock cooler so im not having to suffer with that amd heap the temps on this stock cooler are what i was gettin with the h50 b4 it died so it must have been in a bad way i just thot it was this windows install's useage jumpin all about the place and makin more heat

oh and for the bigger joy of things im stuck using a sempron 3000+ packard bell!

Dude, I'm using a Sempron 3000+ all the time:D

Quite frustrating, so I know what you feel dude. Playing something that's from 2009/2010 is a great pain in the ass for sure:p

i used it for about 3 hours its so slow i was just gettin frustrated!so i slammed in a stock cooler just sick i cant get to messin with this new q6600 :(

Aww that sucks mate... good luck with the RMA! I was actually thinking of going h50 but I went with the Mega Shadow.. I'm glad I did, less risky ;)

And now... back to doing my homework :( (God I hate my chemistry teacher!!!)

yeah ive got my fingers crossed so hopefully i should get an RMA, the joys of being at school killablade :p i used to love chesmitry at school was my best subject and teacher

im prob gonna sell the h50 on if i get an RMA and spend the £45 bucks ill get for it on a good air cooler so ill need to decide what i want

microdirect like to turn down rma's! just a warnin! but on the other hand corsair have a lifetime warranty and their rma process is so simple!!

lol i wasnt expecting it to be easy but like ya said corsair have a great RMA and im sure this isnt the first time this unit has broke like this and all im askin for is a direct replacement of even just a repair at there cost

this is where it broke its right where the tube connects to the i guess u can call it a metal barb like thing it slips over the tube

so i went lookin to see if there was any similar problems and on the corsair support forum a guy on there has had exactly the same problem as me it splittin right at the rad and they said RMA it to us we will replace it no problem :) so thats great to hear top service as expected from corsair

but if all else fails i have managed to see online there are quite a few ppl out there that have modified there h50's with new tubing fresh distilled water and anti freeze and a res in there so i think i might look into that sounds intresting to be also seen them having new rads added into them aswell so the options seem great at the moment :)
