Corsair AX1200 vs XFX Pro 1250

I'm torn between these two PSUs (my TX 650W will be overloaded by overclocking on Sandy Bridge E). I can't decide. I like that the XFX unit is cheaper and has 8 x 6+2 pin connectors instead of the AX1200's 6 x 6+2. The XFX also looks good (IMO). Both OEM are Seasonic. Both are overkill, but I'd like to keep my (SLI) options open.

The AX1200 is the best of these two.No doubt about that.7year warrenty says alot.

And the OEM is flextronics, not seasonic.

Isnt XFX out of business? I wouldnt really want to go with someone like that to be honest. + My ax1200 powers my gtx 590's and 5.0ghz clocked 2600k and the fan never even spins up in that thing. You are hard pressed to find a more beautiful/well rounded touch PSU such as that. Corsair ax1200 all the way for sure.

I'd lend my vote to Corsair. Their RMA process is excellent and the warranty is about the best available. Plus, will you really need the extra 50W?

Probably not, but I won't need 1200 in the first place. 1050+ is probably where I'd sit (overclocking + future SLI). I forgot that Flextronics OEMed the AX1200 (I think Seasonic did the lower wattage units in the AX line). Seasonic is responsible for the XFX unit. I'll go with the AX1200 anyway. (which ever is on sale when I need it). I hope directcanada has a sale soon. (AX1200 is $278, the XFX unit is only $228 at NCIX).

Thanks for helping me make the right decision. Also, whomever told me about directcanada, you're awesome.

XFX were a good company but like AMD got taken over by various gits in management and now XFXs customer service is renowed to be crap
