Hey guys, built my first pc a while back and am very pleased with the result.
I've got an issue though, I've got 2 Corsair AF140 Quiet Editions as front intakes, 2 SP120'S on my H105 on the ceiling rad, and an AF140 Quiet as a rear exhaust.
The problem is with the rear AF140, I actually broke the first one I tried to mount to the case, a Corsair Graphite 780T. I used the screws supplied with the fan and tried to to get it snug to the case just so it wouldn't move, but the screw completely broke the rubber on one of the corners. I've got a replacement now and am hesitant to do the same again, I've used the screws provided, I have long fan screws which came with the case, identical to the ones used to attach fans to the H105 cooler, I tried them, but they are too thin too thin.
The fan is mounted but hanging loose, and with the 780T, theres an option to raise the fan which I'd like to do, but I feel if I tighten the screws anymore, I'm just going to knacker or break the rubber in one of the corners of the fan again. Anyone had a similar experience to this or got any advice, would like to avoid ruining another fan.
