Corsair 3000mhz kits

I saw these on facebook and had to ask..

Why are they on the Vengeance product line? 0_0?

I'm pretty sure the Dominators were originally announced to have 3000mhz kits too:

You need ivy bridge and a z77 to run these who the hell is going to purchase a $800 kit with a $200-350 cpu ololloollol and its still not even guaranteed to run at those speeds.

That's only because the memory controller is better on them than Sandy-E.

Ivybridge-E should fix that...

Thing is atm you are correct but who is say Corsair don't know what is coming from the likes of Intel with their next generation. Also I do not think they are gonna be aiming to sell lots of these kits but more an idea for marketing and exposure.

Think about it if they came out with another 1600 mhz kit you wouldn't be posting here. It is kinda like Titan in a way it is not meant for mass consumption but rather the E-peen types.

By Corsair doing something like this they are kinda saying to Intel and AMD that they can produce these high speed types of ram and maybe even faster so maybe the cpu manufacturers will then incorporate better memory controllers into their products for the next generation thus pushing the industry forward.

Oh god, I remember when 2133 kits were like 500 quid, it wasn't to long ago either! I bet in 3 years time, this will be slow too!

ram doesnt get slower at all it will perform at its factory setting its just memory is getting faster so you look at it as being slow, their will be a point soon where computers will do things faster than the human reaction and then it will be us that wont be able to keep up

Yeah like that intel super computer that we should let run the world.............................. period periodx1000000000

Wasn't it leaked last week there isn't going to be Ivybridge - E ? I'm sure I read a post on here or maybe OC'ers

There's always something at the top of a product line it doesn't make sense to really spend that much money on. :P

It must still happen though.
