Corsaid SP2500 vs Logitech Z623

So my current THX speakers the logitech Z2300 have finally gone to audiophiles graveyard. Means its time for new ones.

Question is though aside from the SP2500s does anyone have experience with the z623 2.1 setup as it is the successor to the z2300 and also THX?

My current speakers were phenominal and have produced incredible sound/range/response over the years, this is why I'd like to try and keep to the same and sway towards the Z623. Sadly I haven't been able to sample the speakers myself, but I have with the SP2500 and comparing them to my 2300 I preferred my old setup.

When it comes to online reviews of audio speakers, I find it very difficult to see a uniformity in critics as sound can sometimes be subjective.

I'd love to head towards monitors and give me Essence STX some sweet love but I don't have the available space. Not to mention the cost of such items in Norway is excessive.

tl;dr

Anyone here who thinks the Z623 2.1 THX are as good/ better than the SP2500? both are similar price range.

Not used the newer Logitech but from some of the new speakers that I've seen and heard their quality has dropped considerably, the 2500's would probably be better TBH or see if you cant get some Klipsich 2.1 can remember the model number but they are really good too

You are probably thinking of the promedia. but they too have dropped in quality.

I think I will bite the bullet and get the SP2500. Not pretty to look at but hey.. the audio is what matters right?

They are supposed to be a nice sounding set of speakers

yeah, hear many good things. i just find them unattractive. And while my Z2300 were the best around at one point. It had me thinking. What does THX actually provide for me that other speakers don't.

The SP2500s are alright and I bought them at half price. At full price I would not recommend.

Well I bought the SP2500. I am somewhat disappointed. I expected better. settings are quite nice with EQ options etc but i feel that the quality when it comes to music is seriously lacking. I guess that is what i expect from a gaming audio however.

I returned them. Ill wait till the new year and get some monitors. My Z2300 are far superior to the SP2500. But sound is subjective to an extent so others may disagree.

I completely agree with you. I'm disappointed with my SP2500 purchase so far and am hoping it's a poor performing old Auzen Prelude that's causing it.
I'm from an audiophile background so I guess my expectations are higher than gamers?
