Core2Duo E7200 overclocking help??

Alright well I just got a new Socket 775 mobo from Biostar to replace my Gigabyte mobo. They are both G41 chipsets but my gigabyte used DDR2 and my Biostar uses DDR3. Well my Gigabyte could hit a wall with overclocking my E7200 at 3.25Ghz stable in prime95 for over 24 hours. Well now that I have my new mobo, new cooler, new thermal paste and new RAM. It will fail all test in Prime95 within 5 minutes. I have pused voltages all the way to 1.35 on the Core2Duo and 1.65 on my RAM. Which is the max safe voltage it shows on the package. So I am very confused on why it fails all the test now with the new mobo. Could I have bad RAM? CPU finally kicking the bucket? Please help.

Run smallFFT test in Prime or use Linx.

Disable speedstep.

Disable spread spectrum.

Don't use crappy OCZ ram.

I actually got a stable 3.37Ghz Overclock now since I told the BIOS to start the RAM running at 800Mhz and then went all the way up until the RAM was at it's peak speed of 1066. So everything was fine. Also My temps never get above 60C now.

Also I failed every test I ran in Prime before I found my RAM was going off the charts in speed.

Ah yes the offset. I did the same thing with my first Core 2 duo. I never did work it out.. Then I got another board and ram and realised what was happening lol.

That was about the only good thing with the EVGA board I had. It allowed splitting which meant the ram was always at the speed you set it to regardless of the FSB

Yea I don't disable speed stepping of anything because I like to keep my power usage as low as possible. Even though it still is very low at full power I still like to keep my electric bill low.

But now I only wish I had high RAM but my board does not support anything higher than 1066.

But hey can't beat getting the board for $40 brand new. Also the RAM was only $65 Brand new.

A couple things to keep in mind.

1.) Cheap board, not going to get impressive clocks.

2.) Speed Step will always make your OC less attainable.

3.) OCZ RAM is the worst product they used to make, they don't even make RAM anymore.

4.) Your site is very generic and has a lot of spelling/grammatical errors, you aren't going to get anywhere. I promise, been there, done that.

I have no idea where you are getting the stuff about OCZ not making RAM anymore. They are still making RAM to this very day.

I am sorry that I did not get my site done by a pro. I did it for free and put very little time into besides uploading the pictures,Terms of service, and Prices. Also I have had 6 people contact me about doing work for them So I am getting somewhere.

Also I am sorry, but not everyone has money to throw around on the most expensive components.

SN:If you would like to give me some free cash to buy a better CPU/Mobo/RAM and everything the go right ahead. But until you do that, I think you should not talk about my choice of hardware.
