Hi All, after a week of runningmy rig at stock to make sure all is good am now ready to o/c the baby. Specs are:

E6300

DS3 with F6 BIOS

2GB GeiL DDR2 PC6400 800MHz (running at 5300 for some reason)

7600GT overclocked

Seagate SATAII 200GB

Zalman 9500 CPU Cooler

120m 87CFM Fan over the northbridge and 92mm over the HD.

All sitting on my desk as no case yet :)

Below is a pic of CPUZs showing all the tabs, if anyone needs further info.

I tweaked some of the settings in BIOS to these:

Anyone be able to give me some pointer on way to go. Would like to be able to hit 3Ghz on air, then move to water in 2months.

Cheers in advance :worship:

Well you basically just up the CPU FSB and try to keep the memory at closest to DDR800 as possible. If it fails to boot, then up the volts one notch.

Running Super PI 1m will see if you're gaining speed and running Orthos (15mins at least) will see about stability

When i did my m8s DS3 with the same CPU I used BIOS F4

and then done

Mch over voltage control is set to +0.1

My CPU voltage is set to 1.375v

Set dimm over voltage control and FSB over voltage control to +0.1 each

system memory multiplier select 2

Set the CPU host frequency to 400

If that doesn’t boot

1. in the main menu of bios

2. press and hold ctrl then f1

3. go to the over clocking section

4. there you can loosen the timings of the ram

thanks but i want more lol. Ave seen 4ghz + on Water so i hope to get 3.5Ghz or near as possible on air berfore i move to water. hopefully my new case will bring some extra air flow

Current temps are:

Idel: 35C

Load: 53C
