Core i7 970 (26 multiplier?)

I thought this was pretty interesting. I enabled one of the C1E state's in my BIOS and now the multiplier will sometimes jump from 25 to 26. Does anyone know the reason for this?

arent those settings for power saving and what not? thought you were suppose to disable those when overclocking

if your system is stable with them on why would you need to turn them off?

No reason at all, the only reason to turn them off is for a higher overclock or you might archive a higher overclock..

Your BCLK is too low. Drop the multiplier and get that BCLK up for a proper overclock.

That's what I was going for originally but I cannot seem to get it stable with 200x20. I can run P95 for about 15 minutes then I'll get an error or the system will crash.

You need to put the time in to get it stable then. PLenty of threads to read on here to guide you.
