oh ok :/ i thought it may have been ok because of its single 80A 12v rail. because i was going to upgrade my system and use 2 gtx460's in sli or maybe even 2 gtx 470's

would the hx750 be ok with that and an i7 950 at 4GHz ?

btw ive got £110 max

yeah with loads to spare its a spankly awsome psu for the money

o and amdftw its deffo bfbc2 thats fudged tried it without steam and got the same gash!

i suggest a re-install

and then get back on it,cos you were just starting to get into it and it was funn

i have round a coolermaster silent pro 1000w on play.com for £109.99

C.M 1000W psu

is this a good buy ?

IMO its a peace of garbage just as the 900w form Coolermaster i had to RMA 3 of them,

well the third one i had to because the store said so

which i later refused

they seriously just blew up and the first one gave me a nice spark flyer and a bang through my arms which scared the crap out of me

I never will buy a coolermaster PSU again....

Antec1000w and a antec850w are doing their jobs perfectly fine !

so glad i joined here otherwise i could have had the same problem as you !

are there any other good 1000w or 80A plus single rail psu's out there for a good price other than corsair?

or is the corsair tx950w the best option for future upgrades and maybe tri sli or crossfirex x3

mate there is no point in you gettin a 1000w psu a lower wattage more suited to your set up will be more efficient

and dont go near tri sli/tri xfire they scale terrible and ull end up with worse performance in a lot of games

ok cool just done some research on that. had allot of configs on my head atm. may even save for longer for a 5970 on and 890fx board. then when all of the 6000 cards come out the 5970 will drop down then ill get another. would that be a wise choice?

Basically you get what you pay for, buy cheap crap and youll end up with cheap crap. PSU's can kill every component in your rig if they go wrong. So forget the HAF X as thats another POS and get a decent PSU instead
