Greetings for every reader of this Project Log!
This project is a test project before I get into a much bigger one. On this project we (me and my father) tested some painting technics and the usage
of some new material wich we are not used to.
I always want to build a fully modded case in the past but i have no money and time for it. I always build my rig with high expectation and because of that my rig is never get ready.
So now I'm getting older (still not having to much time
) and have some spare money to spend on some modding, I tought its time to make some basic modding first.
But as I started it more and more ideas came to my mind what shoud be done with the rig below.
Back in 2014 march I've build a basic PC-to my father, who is like to play with online games like World of Tanks, and he always got my old stuff before. So he celebrate his birthday in march I build a new PC for him in a mixture with some old stuff of mine.
Specs:
CPU: AMD A10-6790K @ 4.4GHz/1.275V
Motherboard: Gigabyte GA-F2A88XM-D3H
Memory: G.Skill RipJawsX DDR3-1866MHz CL9
VGA: APU's HD8670D @ 1000MHz
SSD: OCZ Vector 450 120GB
These were the new stuffs above, and the old ones below.
HDD: Samsung SpinPoint F1 1TB/7200rpm/32MB cache
HDD: Western Digital Caviar Black 500GB
HDD: Samsung SpinPoint 320GB
PSU: Chieftec GPS-550AB-A 550W 80Plus
Case: CoolerMaster Cavalier 3
The original case:
First I just want to paint the interior black to cope with the new moderboard style then I decided to paint the PSU too because it has the color of the plain SECC material.
When we (me and my father) were ready with the painting of the interior we have the comparison with the outer surface of the case, and we can realise that its full with small scraches and itches.
So we discussed that it need to be painted fully, but if do it why not to make a window in it, and why not pimp it up with some bright colur.
So we choose the ruby red satin matt (DupliColor Platinum RAL 3003) outer, with the matt black (Motip PrismaColor RAL 9005 matt) interior.
First we thinkinkg about Plexi window but it can scrached easily and it can load up electrostaticaly too. So we choose polycarbonate plate. Its much more durabe aginst scratches, and it can easyli forged to shape.

The rig is in place:
I know theres some minor slips in paint job and some missing parts witch are need to be replaced like extension slot's covers and 3.5 front bay cover (it was heavily demaged in past and I cannot get a fitting one yet). But I hope you will like it or you can give me some ideas how can it be better.
In the next some weeks I will try to get some extension slot covers and I want to purchase a 120mm fan with bright cold white led and a 92mm red led fan. If you can suggest me one which is a good looking one and you are happy with its performance please leave a message below...
