Cooler Master slim down their popular Mobius 120 fans

Right, so with all of that technological BS, how come every company out there that makes fan, always does "top tier" and "proves to be amongst the best" etc... meanwhile goes on explaining the technologies behind the fan motor, oils, rings, magnets etc etc... yet, none of this stuff is what Noctua is using and Noctua is and has been considered the kind of air cooling for years.

Just because the name of the company is "Cooler Master", doesn't automatically mean your an pro at cooling products. Apparently not since not even the Mobius line has proven to be at the top with Noctua for example.

Noctua arent the king anymore if you ask me. The market is heavily diluted.

Phanteks T30s perform better than Noctua for example. What makes Noctua the king is their complete solutions, like the fans + heatsinks. If you look at fans only, then there are quite a number that equal, if not beat Noctua performance indexes.

Meanwhile true, they are 5mm thicker than Noctua's and even then, barely beats Noctua. Just goes to show how far ahead Noctua really is. If Noctua would release an 30 mm thick fan, it would perform better than T30's.

It's also not only about performing better, it's how it's performing in relation to noise where Noctua usually excels in.

I personally don't see any fan performing better than Noctua AF 12s. Imo best overall fan out there. Every company is following that fan style.

And it doesnt matter about thickness. Better performance is better performance. Im not comparing apples to apples. Im comparing the market and purchasing what performs the best (for a cheaper price)

if we are talking performance to noise. Id say T30s still win.

I wont flood the thread with screenshots, so view for yourself.

but you see here, no fan truely dominates unless you consider 1CFM as a large value, then T30 wins. The market is flooded with fans now. And Noctua do not have the market superiority anymore. Especially given their ridiculous pricing.

I paid approx 1250nok for 9 T30s. I will never see noctuas sold that cheap. What I love most about these is the switch to go between silent operation, hybrid and advanced which is 3000rpm.

Agreed :)

I get where you're coming from, albeit as NBD mentioned above, the Noctua NF-A12x25 is basically the best allround fan.

I have several tower coolers and none of them I can actually use one of my T30's with. Either because they aren't designed with 30 mm thick fans in between the towers or the fan clips aren't.

Hence why the Noctua is still the best overall, it has basically the same performance as the T30's, but is also an a lot more versatile fan than the T30.

Although one thing I like the T30 more over the Noctua is the daisy chain possibility. So wish that Noctua would include that option, makes not only literal cable routing inside ones case easier, but also not needing an splitter if running an dual fan setup on an air cooler. Makes it so much easier if you lack fan headers on your motherboard.

At the end, I guess we agree on disagreeing then, each to their own :)
