I blame the case, sorry dude. They are all like that. P*ssed off centre and right on the side of awkward.
It makes you wonder if case makers actually bother to buy any boards when they are designing their cases. Or, whether they just guess it. I will say though that I have never seen an ATX connector that high on a board (where they have put the hole) ever. Not one.
I blame the motherboard not the case. But the Rog Extreme Max IX is packed with so many things, I guess there was little choice. It's not placed in an optimal spot, or at least generic spot. its too high up as you say. If I ever finish this case.. I plan to make a back board and then drill individual holes for them to pass through like I did long ago with my 900D.
that or upgrade at some point.
The first manufacturer to create an ATX connector we can feed from the back side, will get my money
