coolants

I use Mayhems X1 Clear coolant since I went custom loop last March and never had an issue with it. Good Choice OP :)

What do you guys think about using inline filters to capture paticulate in the loop?

In extension to what TPC said, I guess the concept is they are easier to disassemble and clean than your waterblock. However if you have any particles bigger than the dye passing through then you have bigger concerns and if the filter catches the dye then your in trouble too.

Either minimize potential contaminants by using clear coolant and cleaning everything in which case a filter would have minimal benefit or be fearless and run Aurora with no preparation and not use a filter because they are too ugly and aesthetics are everything.

Hi guys im nearly ready to put all my 1st custom loop together and still undecided about the coolant. Im thinking of this http://mayhems.co.uk/store/x1-clear-1ltr.html and also this to make my own blue http://mayhems.co.uk/store/mayhems-none-stain-blue-dye-15ml.html. But i dont really want a kill coil in my reservoir. is there any thing i will have to add to stop a build up algae and such many thanks in advance

Most clear coolants already contain the appropriate biocides and corrosion inhibitors (that one does) so you will be fine without a kill coil.

In fact adding a kill coil could actually be detrimental to your loop.
