Ive been playing around with this for about half an hour now. It seams this feat of technology drops my cpu (3500+ 939 newcastle) down from 1.5v to 1.3 when not in use. fair enough, save a few watts. My cpu is now running at 25degC as opposed to 28. But is it really worth it? As soon as the cpu works it just jacks it back up again.

C&Q is great if you're not going to overclock. But it's mandatory to have it disabled if you want to OC.

Depends on what kind of rig you're going for I suppose :) The technology itself is rather good if ur looking for, well... a cool and quiet rig, hehe

haha, my custom heatsink and fan laughs at your cool and quiet (it is however embarrased at the noise he is producing)

Wow i forgot about this thread.

Its kinda pointless me even trying it now as all the noise from my pc is coming from my 2 cheapass 120mms and my graphics card. + i dont even know if it would work with the Evo 33 over the stock HSF.

I think it is great if you arnt going to overclock, as soon as you increase the speeds of the cpu at all i just turn it off.

Cool and Quiet has changed my PC experience, before that it was noise, noise, noise. Installing it on my mates PC stopped his crashing problems.

C&Q seems to work best on laptops, from experience it enhances battery life and drops the overall temp of the laptop which seems to be the largest problem for laptop owners.
