Controller?

1st off sorry if this has been asked and answered elsewhere on the forums :)

one of my dear friends has been pestering me to kick his arse on fifa and some other games iv no interest in playing with out a controller and for a long time iv had no interest in getting one.

IV caved so i wanted to know what controllers you use? which you recommend which to avoid.

As for my preferences

didnt like the ps3 controler with its dodgey triggers didnt like the 360s d pad

havent and wont be touching a "next gen" box any time soon but iv been told both issues i had have been fixed so im not fussed on design

i think paying any more than £30 would prob leave a poor taste in my mouth lol
 
Personally I use a 360 Controller.. but the PS3 pad is also a good choice. 360 is more comfortable though. ;)
 
I use a modded 360 controller and obviously the wireless adapter but I will be changing it to an XBOne controller. I would imagine there are lots of cheap 360 pads on eBay, I sold one that was freaking awesome with a US made gloss red shell and it made like £18, shoula kept it.

360 controller is about as good as it gets for controllers, awesome for fifi, assassins creed and tomb raider but any shooting games a mouse+KB is best.

I have had a xbox 360 s so i just use the wireless controller of that bought a wireless receiver from Amazon for under £10.
 
I use PS3 controller using motion in joy for bluetooth 2.0 comunications (replacement driver but needs either broadcomm or widdcomm chip for the drivers) then running that in xbox emulation. I have an old Dell Inspiron 1720 in front room (acting as Plex media center), I got the dell bluetooth module for that, as it had a 512 MB 8600M gfx card inside it, and used to love playing HAWX and HAWX 2, also used to play R-Factor on it with the PS3 controller when was away from home working :D

Before people say, I don't like the x-box controller, I personally find it uncomfortable to use, other people prefer that to the PS3 controller, but for me it PS3 Sixaxis controller all day long for the Win :D

I used to have a Sidewinder joystick when I went through a phase of playing flight sims lol, but it been a few years since I done that and no longer have it.

I use an Xbox 360 controller myself too.

The 360 controller is really the best one to go for tbh. Most community patches/mods or regular games will target that upon the PC as the controller most use.

Although you can easily get other ones that look exactly like a 360 one as far as Windows is concerned but have different layouts/feels. Example:

That looks almost same as playsation controller, just not wireless, but almost the same sort of price though
