Connecting CPU Fans

id like abit of advice on this, what would you recommend me to do, connect the cpu heatsink fan, fans, to the motherboard cpu fan header or have it running of my psu with all the wires hidden behind the side panel that the motherboard is on.my aim is just to have a nice clean rig and good airflow.

with some motherboards we can alter the fan speed manualy or use pre-set fan speed profiles and that works with fans plugged into the motherboard using the BIOS. CPU fan header has unique fan speed options in my BIOS. The CPU fans I use have 4 pin connectors. I think 3 pin connector fans speeds only can adjusted with a voltage resistor cable, lowering the voltage making the fan spin slower and you may find something like that for a PSU connector. A PSU i used had 3 pin fan connectors and they didn't drive the fans at maximum speed, I don't know the reason why the manufacturer chose that or i'm unsure
